The opening ceremony featured a traditional Apsara blessing dance, followed by welcome remarks from Mr. Leng Kheav<\/span>, Board of Director, Chair of CWA<\/b>, and Ms. Haza Tukimin, Senior Event Managers<\/b> of Informa Markets<\/b>. The keynote address by H.E Hem Vanndy, Minister<\/b> of MISTI<\/b> reinforced the government’s strong commitment to a climate-resilient water sector. Day one’s flagship panel, “Working Together to Deal with Climate Change for Sustainable Water Supply<\/b>,” convened senior leaders from five key ministries \u2013 MISTI, the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology (MOWRAM), the Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MPWT), the Ministry of Rural Development (MRD), and the Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME) <\/b>\u2013 alongside utility executives and technical experts.<\/p>\n

The cross-ministerial dialogue reviewed progress toward CSDG 6 and mapped urgent interventions to ensure safe and affordable water access amid climate pressures.<\/p>\n

On the second day, the conversation expands to a regional stage, as presidents of water associations from Vietnam<\/span>, the Philippines<\/span>, and Malaysia<\/span><\/b> share best practices on operational excellence, workforce development, and professionalisation \u2013\u00a0highlighting Cambodia’s<\/span> role as a regional hub for water resilience and innovation.<\/p>\n

Global companies, including ABB and METAWATER,<\/b> are showcasing technologies for smart water management, while SME Bank and Phillip Bank<\/span><\/b>, present alternative financing models to mobilise Cambodia’s<\/span> 2026\u20132030 water infrastructure investment pipeline \u2013 addressing one of the sector’s most critical barriers to progress.<\/p>\n
