BEIJING<\/span><\/span>, Sept. 9, 2025<\/span><\/span> \/PRNewswire\/ — Weihai, a coastal city sitting in east China’s<\/span> Shandong Province<\/span>, welcomed a new “dweller” in its integrated free trade zone, the certification center for auto parts export to the Republic of Korea (ROK) recently.<\/p>\n

For years, Weihai Integrated Free Trade Zone has leveraged its forefront role in boosting Sino-ROK cooperation and cultivated a batch of competitive manufacturers in semiconductor, electronics, and food processing fields.<\/p>\n

In mid-August, Weihai Integrated Free Trade Zone, Korea Testing Certification (KTC) and Korea Automobile Parts Association (KAPA) signed a tripartite agreement over the certification center.<\/p>\n

According to them, the certification center, upon completion, will take advantage of related favorable policies in the free trade zone to forge a global certification service regime for auto parts and other related daily necessities and home appliances.<\/p>\n

Apart from this, an integrated operating system that includes certification, storage and export will also be built to craft a new paradigm for Sino-ROK auto parts supply chain collaboration.<\/p>\n

With complete functions, pleasant policy environment and simple service procedures, Weihai Integrated Free Trade Zone will partner with KTC and KAPA to pool respective resources and shape a pivotal local hub to connect the Chinese and ROK markets.<\/p>\n

Currently, many large trade and logistics platforms such as AliExpress and Korean e-commerce operator Coupang have been operating business units in Weihai Integrated Free Trade Zone, giving rise to a clustering effect in local electronic information, cross-border e-commerce, and auto parts sectors.<\/p>\n

South Korean company LandMarkRed Co., Ltd. and Chinese one-stop auto post-market service firm New Carzone were also present at the launching ceremony of the certification center.<\/p>\n
