QINGDAO, China<\/span>, April 30, 2024 \/PRNewswire\/ — The Qingdao-Germany\u00a0Economic, Trade, Cultural and Tourism Exchange\u00a0Meeting kicked off\u00a0in Stuttgart<\/span>, Germany\u00a0on\u00a0April 25, hosted by the Qingdao Municipal People’s Government, and organized\u00a0by the Qingdao Municipal Bureau of Commerce and the Qingdao Sino-German Ecopark. This event was attended by over 160 representatives from German companies\u00a0and\u00a0institutions,\u00a0partners and delegates from Qingdao<\/span>. Zhao Haozhi,\u00a0mayor of Qingdao<\/span>, delivered a keynote speech, while\u00a0Li Hucheng,\u00a0secretary-general of the Qingdao Municipal People’s Government, chaired\u00a0the meeting. This event\u00a0received great support from\u00a0German business associations such as S\u00fcdwestmetall, BWA, China Netzwerk Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg\u00a0, RegioTriRhena,\u00a0IHK Region Stuttgart, Entrepreneurs Association Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg, and Internationale Deutsch-Chinesische Assoziation, making it one of the largest economic and trade events organized by Chinese local government in Germany<\/span> in recent years, according to the Information\u00a0Office\u00a0of Qingdao Municipal People’s Government.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Qingdao<\/span> is one of the Chinese cities with the closest ties to Germany<\/span> in terms of bilateral exchanges and cooperation. German-funded\u00a0companies have achieved significant development in Qingdao,\u00a0attracting over 400 German enterprises to invest in the city. Additionally, Qingdao<\/span> has established friendly city relationships with several German cities such as Mannheim and Regensburg. We expect\u00a0further exchanges between Germany<\/span> and Qingdao<\/span> to strengthen\u00a0collaborations\u00a0in industries like automotive, chemicals, manufacturing, energy, as well as in the cultural and tourism sectors,”\u00a0said Mayor Zhao Haozhi<\/span> in his speech.<\/p>\n

During the meeting,\u00a0Elmar Stumpf, chairman\u00a0of CNBW-Region Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg, and Michael Schumann<\/span>, chairman\u00a0of BWA, delivered speeches. Dr. Martin Sommer<\/span>, general manager of Elringklinger Group, shared the company’s investment\u00a0situation in Qingdao<\/span>. Wang Zhijun<\/span>, director of the Qingdao Municipal Bureau of Commerce,\u00a0introduced the investment environment in Qingdao<\/span> and the key fields\u00a0of cooperation between Qingdao<\/span> and Germany<\/span>. Pan Feng, director of the Qingdao Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, promoted Qingdao’s<\/span> cultural and tourism hotspots.<\/p>\n
