The fight against drugs, safeguarding public health and security, traces a pivotal moment to Lin Zexu (1785-1850)’s historic 1839 opium destruction \u2013 an act that inspired the national fight against drugs. <\/span><\/p>\n

Jijunxing, a Belgian Malinois<\/span>,<\/span> served diligently for eight years<\/span> with the Dehong Border Management Detachment in Southwest China’s<\/span> Yunnan<\/span> province<\/span>. Her remarkable career included assisting in cracking 137 criminal cases, apprehending 66 suspects, and detecting over 80 kilograms of various illegal narcotics. She and her handler won multiple national awards, and in 2003, the National Immigration Administration named her one of the inaugural <\/span>“<\/span>Meritorious Dogs.<\/span>“<\/span><\/p>\n

Yuan Xikun formally presented the sculpture to the Dehong Border Management Detachment. Zhou Zhou<\/span>, Jijunxing’s handler, attended the unveiling ceremony at Beijing Jintai Art Museum and will transport the artwork back to the detachment for permanent display. <\/span><\/p>\n
