SUZHOU, China<\/span><\/span>, March 10, 2025<\/span><\/span> \/PRNewswire\/ —\u00a0Students at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University\u00a0can now fast-track towards a career in accountancy\u00a0in Singapore<\/span> thanks to a partnership between XJTLU’s International Business School Suzhou (IBSS) and the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA).<\/p>\n

The newly announced\u00a0partnership,\u00a0the ISCA’s first with a university in China<\/span>, provides eligible XJTLU undergraduate students with an accelerated pathway to\u00a0the Singapore Chartered Accountant Qualification (SCAQ).<\/p>\n

IBSS students now enjoy exemptions for selected subjects under the SCAQ\u00a0Foundation Programme, cutting the time it takes to\u00a0receive their Professional Business Accountant designation, the first step in becoming a chartered accountant in\u00a0Singapore. The ISCA will also award 20 scholarships to the top 5% of students\u00a0every year to\u00a0cover the programme fees.<\/p>\n

In addition, IBSS connects accounting students with major companies in China<\/span> including Tencent<\/span>, DBS China, PwC China,\u00a0and\u00a0the Singapore Nanjing Eco Hi-Tech Island, an ISCA-accredited training organisation.<\/p>\n

To expand its presence in China<\/span>, ISCA plans to launch professional services centres in 10 cities by June to promote regionalisation and the availability of professional services in sustainability, legal, and other corporate services.<\/p>\n
