Underreported crises in <span class=\"xn-location\">Yemen<\/span>, <span class=\"xn-location\">Pakistan<\/span>, and some African nations have led to a quadrupling of children&#8217;s food aid to <span class=\"xn-money\">$19.6million<\/span> and a tripling of education aid to <span class=\"xn-money\">$1.2million<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p><b>2024 in numbers<\/b><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li><b>Health Aid:<\/b> Nearly one-third of the aid, more than <span class=\"xn-money\">$40million<\/span>, was dedicated to health.<\/li>\n<li><b>Food Security Aid:<\/b> The demand for food security products saw a dramatic increase, quadrupling from <span class=\"xn-money\">$5million<\/span> in 2023 to <span class=\"xn-money\">$19.6million<\/span> in 2024. This included 54.6million sachets of food supplements suitable for children from six months old.<\/li>\n<li><b>Education Aid:<\/b> There was an almost quadrupling in the demand for education aid, which increased from <span class=\"xn-money\">$320,000<\/span> in 2023 to more than <span class=\"xn-money\">$1.2million<\/span> in 2024.<\/li>\n<li><b>Shelter Aid:<\/b> Almost one-third of the aid, totalling <span class=\"xn-money\">$31.7million<\/span>, was allocated to shelter.<\/li>\n<li><b>Water and Sanitation Aid:<\/b> The demand for water and sanitation aid remained consistent with 2023 levels, amounting to <span class=\"xn-money\">$3.2million<\/span>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span class=\"xn-person\">Giuseppe Saba<\/span>, CEO, Dubai Humanitarian, commented:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;2024 was a year of unprecedented challenges for the world.
