BANGKOK<\/span><\/span>, Dec. 16, 2024<\/span><\/span> \/PRNewswire\/ — Eight international airlines have launched new direct flights in 2024 to Thailand’s<\/span> four main MICE Cities,\u00a0Bangkok-Phuket-Pattaya-Chiang Mai, while three more airlines are scheduled to offer direct flights in 2025.<\/p>\n

11 International Airlines Operate New Direct Flights to Thailand\u2019s MICE Cities<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The year 2024-2025 marks<\/span> another milestone for Thailand<\/span> as a preferred MICE destination when four Thai MICE Cities: Bangkok<\/span>, Phuket<\/span>, Chiang Mai<\/span> and Pattaya are welcoming more overseas flights from Europe<\/span>, Central Asia<\/span>, Sub-Continent, East Asia<\/span> and the Middle East<\/span>.<\/p>\n

Bangkok<\/span> is experiencing enhanced connectivity with the European market. On October 28<\/span>, British Airways resumed direct flights between London<\/span> and Bangkok<\/span>, starting from 3 flights a week to 5 flights a week in January and February next year and 4 flights in March in the same year.<\/p>\n

ITA Airways has also operated direct flights between Rome<\/span> and Bangkok<\/span>, starting on November 17<\/span> with five flights per week. On December 1<\/span>, Thai Airways International (TG) started to resume direct flights between Bangkok<\/span> and Brussels<\/span>. Norse Atlantic Airways is scheduled to operate direct flights between Stockholm<\/span> and Bangkok<\/span>, starting on October 29, 2025<\/span>.<\/p>\n

Phuket<\/span> island is also welcoming new flights in 2024. Air India<\/span> started to operate its second daily flight (except Wednesday) from Delhi<\/span> to Phuket<\/span> on June 1<\/span>, while Air India Express will start its four flight a week direct from Surat to Phuket<\/span> on December 24<\/span>.<\/p>\n

A new market for Phuket<\/span>, Kazakhstan<\/span>, is also tapping the island. On October 26<\/span>, Air Astana started to operate direct flight from Astana to Phuket<\/span>. Likewise, Saudia Airlines began its inaugural Riyadh<\/span>–Phuket<\/span> flight on December 2<\/span> and Jeddah<\/span>–Phuket<\/span> flight on December 4<\/span>.<\/p>\n

Going up north to Chiang Mai<\/span>, the city welcomed direct flight of Hong Kong Airline on October 27<\/span>, making it the third airline operating direct flights between Chiang Mai<\/span> and Hong Kong<\/span>. The other two are Thai Air Asia and Hong Kong Express. On November 4, 2025<\/span>, Etihad Airways is scheduled to operate 4 flights a week direct from Abu Dhabi<\/span> to Chiang Mai<\/span>.<\/p>\n

On March 30<\/span> next year, U-Ta Pao airport near Pattaya will welcome 5 flights a week between March and May flying direct from Irkutsk and operated by S7 Airlines.<\/p>\n
