According to the report, <b><a href=\"https:\/\/consensus-hongkong2025.coindesk.com\/report\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">&#8220;Driven By Demand: The People-Powered Crypto Movement in <span class=\"xn-location\">Asia Pacific<\/span>,&#8221;<\/a><\/b> conducted ahead of Consensus&#8217; expansion to <span class=\"xn-location\">Hong Kong<\/span>, this phenomenon is driven by an interplay of evolving regulatory environments, speculative interest, practical utility, and a deep-seated belief in digital asset&#8217;s future potential.<\/p>\n<div class=\"PRN_ImbeddedAssetReference\">\n<\/div>\n<p>The report, created in partnership with Protocol Theory, finds that <span class=\"xn-location\">Thailand<\/span> has emerged as the top country in APAC for digital asset adoption at 44%, followed by the <span class=\"xn-location\">United Arab Emirates<\/span> (UAE), <span class=\"xn-location\">India<\/span> and <span class=\"xn-location\">the Philippines<\/span>. The report finds that digital asset ownership or usage within the APAC region falls into three tiers of digital asset adoption, categorized by:<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li><b>Higher Adoption: <\/b><span class=\"xn-location\">Thailand<\/span> (43%), the UAE (37 %), <span class=\"xn-location\">India<\/span> (32%) and <span class=\"xn-location\">the Philippines<\/span> (31%);<\/li>\n<li><b>Mid-Level Adoption: <\/b><span class=\"xn-location\">South Korea<\/span> (28%), <span class=\"xn-location\">Hong Kong<\/span> <span>SAR<\/span>(24%) and <span class=\"xn-location\">Singapore<\/span> (23%;<\/li>\n<li><b>Lower Adoption<\/b>: <span class=\"xn-location\">Australia<\/span> (18%), <span>Mainland<\/span> <span class=\"xn-location\">China<\/span> (17%), <span class=\"xn-location\">Japan<\/span> (12%). \u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In addition, the authors of the report also observed the below trends through the survey:<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Of the nearly 4,300 respondents across APAC, 61% of individuals believe that digital assets will play a significant role in the future of global finance and investment.<\/li>\n<li>Over half of those surveyed (51%) believe that digital assets will be used for everyday purposes, as well as help promote financial inclusion globally.<\/li>\n<li>37% of surveyed digital asset adopters wanted to gain financial control over personal finances without relying on banks.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b><a href=\"https:\/\/bullish.com\/about-us\/#michael-lau\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\"><span class=\"xn-person\">Michael Lau<\/span>, Chairman of Consensus Hong Kong<\/a><\/b>, commented, &#8220;Ahead of Consensus Hong Kong in <span class=\"xn-chron\">February 2025<\/span>, we wanted to demonstrate the extent to which APAC is at the forefront of global digital asset development.
