Marking its 11th<\/sup> edition this year, the ACES awards was for the first time held for two days:<\/span> November 14<\/span>th<\/sup>\u00a0to honor sustainability award winners and November 15<\/span>th<\/sup>\u00a0to dedicate to <\/span>leadership award winners.<\/p>\n

“The awards celebrated organisations across Asia<\/span> that exemplify outstanding corporate leadership and sustainability practices, shining a spotlight on those spearheading the journey toward a sustainable future.<\/p>\n

“The Sustainability Award Winners of this year’s ACES Awards represent a diverse array of industries, unified by their unwavering dedication to environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and corporate governance excellence. Sustainability is not merely a goal; it is the bedrock of progress. The ACES Awards honour those who lead with vision and responsibility, demonstrating that business success and environmental stewardship go hand-in-hand,” said Shanggari B, CEO of MORS Group, President of the ACES Awards, and ACES Council.<\/p>\n

Organized by the MORS Group in collaboration with their strategic partners, ACES 2024 received an overwhelming number of 682 nominations from the melting pot of Asian businesses vying for a mention at the Awards. The submissions were from 41 industries spanning across 17 countries, which was a testimony to the positive reach of the ACES.<\/p>\n

Reflecting on the significance of the ACES Awards and the remarkable achievements of this year’s winners, Hemant Batra<\/span>, Honorary Chairman of the ACES Awards, shared:<\/p>\n

After an expansive, thorough, and unbiased review process, there emerged 250 finalists across 31 categories from Malaysia<\/span>, Thailand<\/span>, Hong Kong<\/span>, Indonesia<\/span>, Brunei<\/span>, Cambodia<\/span>, Philippines<\/span>, Singapore<\/span>, Taiwan<\/span>, Vietnam<\/span>, Sri Lanka<\/span>, Maldives<\/span> and Nepal<\/span>.<\/p>\n

A total of 34 sustainability award winners were honored on Day One of the ACES awards ceremony.<\/p>\n

Topping the list of winners was the Philippines<\/span>, with prestigious companies like San Miguel Global Power and Development Bank of the Philippines<\/span> clinching the Green Initiative Award, Coca-Cola Beverages Philippines, Inc. and GCash taking home the Top Sustainability Advocates in Asia Award, Energy Development Corporation with Asia’s<\/span> Green Company of The Year Award, iSupport WorldWide and Nickel Asia Corporation clinching the Inspiring Workplaces in Asia Award.<\/p>\n

Wining the Top Sustainability Advocates in Asia Award was Danone Specialized Nutrition Sea whilst Cypark Resources Berhad won the Green Initiative Award, both from Malaysia<\/span>.<\/p>\n

Hong Kong’s<\/span> Henderson Land Development Company Limited was honored the Top Green Companies in Asia Award while Singapore’s<\/span> ComAp S.E. Asia Pte. Ltd. won the Green Initiative Award.<\/p>\n

Through the ACES Awards, companies and leaders unite to not only showcase their sustainability achievements but also to engage in knowledge sharing, build valuable networks, and explore forward-thinking ideas that promote sustainable growth throughout Asia<\/span>.<\/p>\n

This effort was exemplified in the ACES Sustainability Summit which was held earlier in the day on November 14<\/span>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n

In welcoming the delegates who were also ACES awards winners to the summit, Aubrens Managing Partner Dr Jayanthi Desan<\/span> said the summit was aimed at unpacking several key sustainability tools to optimize ESG efforts and ultimately create value for organizations.<\/p>\n

“I look forward to working together with everyone to firstly, identify key ESG topics and issues, how to unpack regulatory requirements with stakeholders needs,” she said.<\/p>\n

Dr Jayanthi who delved into the topic of Sustainable Value Mapping at the summit also said they will drive deeper as an organization in terms of risk mapping and opportunity assessment.<\/p>\n

“And this is where the notion of sustainability value mapping really comes across because it is really talking about impact points across an entire organization because ESG needs to be embedded beyond selected data and disclosure.<\/p>\n

“It needs to be actionable. It needs to show strategic advantage,” said Dr Jayanthi who brings over two decades of expertise as a seasoned ESG advisor.<\/p>\n
