This region is quickly emerging as one of the world&#8217;s most promising growth hubs,&#8221; Wu added.<\/p>\n<p>The event also showcased the opportunities ahead in Belt and Road cooperation as <span class=\"xn-location\">Colombia<\/span> and <span class=\"xn-location\">China<\/span> discuss <span class=\"xn-location\">Colombia&#8217;s<\/span> formal participation in the initiative.<\/p>\n<p>In 2023, the total import and export volume between <span class=\"xn-location\">Guangdong<\/span> and BRI partner countries reached <span class=\"xn-money\">3.04 trillion RMB<\/span>, making up about 37 percent of the province&#8217;s total trade. Additionally, <span class=\"xn-location\">Guangdong<\/span> enterprises have invested over <span class=\"xn-money\">five billion USD<\/span> in these partner countries.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"xn-person\">Luis Diego Monsalve<\/span>, former Colombian ambassador to <span class=\"xn-location\">China<\/span> and representative of Colombia-China Chamber of Commerce, told GDToday that he started conversations about the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) when he served as Colombian ambassador in <span class=\"xn-location\">China<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Now, the incumbent government decided to follow up those conversations.
