After several rounds of presentation, <span class=\"xn-org\">American University of Beirut<\/span> emerged as the HKICC 2024 Champion, outshining 15 teams from top-tier international business schools with their exceptional solutions to complex, real-world business challenges. <span class=\"xn-org\">University of Toronto<\/span> and <span class=\"xn-org\">National University of Singapore<\/span> were awarded the <span>Second and Third<\/span> places respectively, while <span class=\"xn-org\">American University of Beirut<\/span> won the Outstanding Business Concept Award with their groundbreaking ideas.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The HKICC 2024, organized by the School of Business and Management of The <span class=\"xn-org\">Hong Kong University of Science and Technology<\/span> (HKUST Business School) and supported by HSBC, is the premier business case competition in <span class=\"xn-location\">Asia<\/span>, aiming to unlock the potential of young talent, broaden their horizons, and promote cross-cultural exchange by challenging undergraduate teams to tackle real-world business cases.<\/p>\n<p>The 7-day event gathered 16 teams from universities in <span class=\"xn-location\">Australia<\/span>, <span class=\"xn-location\">Canada<\/span>, <span class=\"xn-location\">Denmark<\/span>, Hong Kong SAR, <span class=\"xn-location\">Hungary<\/span>, Lebanon,\u00a0Mainland China, <span class=\"xn-location\">Singapore<\/span>, <span class=\"xn-location\">Spain<\/span>, <span class=\"xn-location\">Thailand<\/span>, and the <span class=\"xn-location\">USA<\/span>. Each team engaged in a Mini Case Competition and a Main Case Competition, with five and 24 hours of preparation time respectively, to formulate actionable strategies for pressing business cases. The students and their advisors also visited Po Lin Monastery and <span>Tai O Fishing Village<\/span>, and enjoyed a night tram party to explore <span class=\"xn-location\">Hong Kong&#8217;s<\/span> rich cultural heritage.<\/p>\n<p>Prof. Kai\u2010Lung HUI, Acting Dean of the HKUST Business School, said, &#8220;The HKICC 2024 exemplifies our commitment to excellence, collaboration, and internationalization.
